Testimonials

“I have never heard anything but positives about your lessons and the pupils' results speak for themselves.”

- David Morton, Headmaster of The King’s School, Gloucester.

“You have empowered our Actors and Public Speaking students to find their voices and to confidently connect with audiences, enabling them to gain skills which will remain with them for life.”

- Miss Claire Giblin, Head Teacher, Denmark Road High School, Gloucester.

“Helen has taught our three daughters for 5 years and has been so much more than just their drama teacher. She has an extremely calm and highly positive approach to her lessons, adapting her style according to the girls’ individual characters thus allowing them to each reach their full potential. She is personable and professional, and we trust her many years of experience and up to date knowledge.

Helen has over the years encouraged our girls to enter numerous performing arts festivals, we have been delighted with the girls’ festival successes and have never left without a trophy or two (each!).

Our eldest daughter earned a Year 7 Performing Arts scholarship with not only a piece taught by Helen, but also with her advice, tips and encouragement too.

Helen has coached the girls as they progress in with their LAMDA Verseand Prose Speaking, and Acting exams. She is very thorough with her preparations for the girls and we always feel very well looked after on the lead up to the exams. The positive exam experiences are down to Helen’s scafolding of the girls' drama skills and knowledge. Needless to say, they have always been awarded with Distinctions

We appreciate Helen’s wealth of knowledge and rich bank of performance pieces, which she carefully selects and suggests to suit each of our daughters’ ages, abilities and personalities.

We feel very privileged to have Helen as our daughters’ teacher and look forward to many more successful years ahead.”

“My daughter began her lessons with Helen in September 2020 and we haven’t looked back since.

Initially we started lessons for scholarship audition coaching, however it quickly became apparent that Helen had so much to offer. In the 3 years my daughter has been with Helen, she has achieved so much; a drama scholarship at a prestigious school, various awards at drama festivals, including most recently the adjudicator’s choice award for Most Promising Performer, and Distinction in all her LAMDA exams.

Helen is not only a wonderful teacher, she goes above and beyond to support, nurture and champion her students. My daughter loves her lessons and looks forward to them each week!”

“Helen Di Tomaso has taught my daughter for 8 years and it has been amazing to see the progress during this time. From her first steps with verse speaking as a 7 year old, to a now confident performer as a teenager.

Helen is brilliant at sourcing and suggesting just the right pieces for each performer to ensure that their individual style and strengths are allowed to shine. This enables each student to develop their skills in a collaboratively creative way so that they can grow in confidence.

I honestly cannot thank Helen enough for all of her support over the years, my daughter has really enjoyed her LAMDA journey!”

- Mrs L Jones

“Helen saw the ‘dramatic’ potential in my son when he was only 7 years old. He has gone from strength to strength over the past 6 years, achieving top grades in all of his LAMDA exams.

Helen actively listens to my son’s wishes and interests to find performance pieces that will motivate and inspire him. She will ensure he is fully prepared for exams whilst still ensuring he is positively challenged to achieve.”
